  1. Tammy says:

Haha, he is my favorite contestant. I think that there are stronger singers than him in the competition, but he has the best personality…plus he’s from SC!!

  2. Papa Robbie says:

American Idol represents just about everything that’s wrong with the so-called music industry.

  3. cheryl says:

and the music industry represents just about everything that’s wrong with the so called culture.

  4. Jared says:

…and music being an ‘industry’ makes about as much sense as healthcare being run as a ‘business’. Not that money shouldn’t ever change hands, but making a buck shouldn’t be the whole point. Kind of ruins it, both music and healing people, yah know what I mean?

  5. cheryl says:

    Prepare for shameless cyber-flirting.

And Jared should know because the way he uses the scalpel is a work of art…

yes, some things should be free to humanity. art, healing, food. people shouldn’t be without some things.

  6. Sam says:

are we getting into a discussion on nationalizing health care? i’m so in, if we are…

and cheryl, cyber-flirting? eharmony is only a step away…

  7. cheryl says:

i think i just threw up in my mouth a little.

  8. Jared says:

    That’s so sweet! It’s more cyber-flattery than cyber-flirting.
And Cheryl, Andrew and Jesse informed me that if I’m not dating someone by the end of intern year they are signing me up against my will…

  9. Jared says:

Oh and on the nationalized healthcare topic that Amy wanted to hijack Cheryl’s blog with:

The pragmatist in me says “Hey, Europe spends less money per person and has better health results/longer lives than us, maybe there is something to this nationalized healthcare thingy.”

The libertarian within: “AHHHHHHHHHH!” (picture flailing limbs and banging of head into wall.)

Best argument against nationalized healthcare- Canada has one, do we really want to copy ANYTHING Canada does? That’d be stupid. Eh.

P.S. Sam are you going to vote for Hillary? I am. Why should we in NY get her all to ourselves? We really ought to inflict, er, share her on/with the rest of yall…

  10. Sam says:

okay, i don’t have enough time to discuss national healthcare in more detail, but here’s my first vulnerable, non-contraollable thoughts on hillary:

    1. i won’t be voting for her. see my cerebral cortex and other functioning brain areas for logical reasons.
    2. damn. if she wins, just damn.
    3. i’m moving to Russia. putin may be a megalomaniacal autocrat, but if #2 happens, it’ll be a better place to be.

  11. katie says:

sam only uses big words to impress herself.

    thanks for the help C!

  12. katie says:

I believe this post was about a guy named Chris, he’s a singer. One of his interivew questions was not on his opinion of national healthcare. so how bout those lucky charms?

  13. cheryl says:

she makes a good point, ladies and gentlemen.

  14. Sam says:

i’m sorry, but i use big words because: 1. they’re perfectly fitting (go to cheryl’s dictionary links and you’ll see what i mean) and 2. cause i’m smart enough to know what they mean. darn peanut gallery.

  15. katie says:

sam just patted her own back. 😉

so who is the first person chris sly will thank when he wins?
