What she said. Mixed with what I thought. In one voice.

“If my hope is in his response or in my response to his response or the outcome, then I am going in the wrong direction. I can’t even hope in my “doing the right thing.” There are times when I won’t. And sometimes I “do the right thing” and it still gets messy. My only hope is the Truth that Jesus loves me and has enormous grace for me. My hope is His presence. And that hope is real because it is placed in a never changing Lord who has my heart.”
