Dear Driver of a Blue Accord,

Just be cause you put your signal on does not mean I am letting you come into my lane leaving only three inches between your bumper and mine. Your signal lets other drivers know your intention to change lanes when safe. It’s not intended to be a presumptuous declaration of lane ownership.

Warmest regards,

Can I get a witness?

Hear, hear. Especially in Florida! I have never seen more aggressive drivers anywhere. The simple courtesy of 15 feet of space between you and the driver in front of you is license for other drivers to stake lane ownership by veering sharply in front of you and then pressing hard on the brakes to avoid hitting the car that’s now 3 feet in front of them. How you avoid hitting them in the 2 feet of space left between you and them is entirely your dilema to sort out. And who said anything about turn signals? Those are merely used as extra lights so that you can see the road at night

You two are cracking me up! Entirely true though… Perhaps that’s part of why we all feel justified in road rage. Cause we know that as soon as we get on the highway, someone is going to try and make us wreck. Well, ok, maybe not TRY to make us wreck, but their actions certainly indicate that they couldn’t care less.
